WHOS VOTED

The smooth criminal in his signature pose captured in a bold graphic designed tee! Wear it with pride as you remember the time, the music and the man...

S**t is tiiiight!

Hella Cool!!!!!

the leannnnn!

This shirt is amazing.

ive got money burning in my pocket and have to buy this shirt!

I like it, but it really looks like you made it in MS paint or something. Really needs more work for it to work alone that big.

totally fly, u lean on !

@Lund:  No I did not create this in MS Paint. Pen & ink, scan and edits in Photoshop, etc. I went with a 'hand drawn' look for this design rather than a slick vector style.

SHWEET! Sup, man!

almost all those voted arent gonna be worth much cus they just came to this site once and voted....they dont carry that much weight

I saw a shirt very similar to this @ Fred Meyer today. Not sure if its a coincidence or not.

i like it! simple, yet an iconic image!

Hmmm... Looks like you've got lots of votes from fake accounts. It's really too obvious, the 10 I clicked on onlyhad voted for this... Not likely to occur by chance. Not only that, it looks like 90% of your votes are from "new" users. Nice try, should be removed by mods right away... It seems most of these shirt sites are sloppy when it comes to stopping people who use multiple accounts.

Umm... actually the reason why a lot of new accounts have been voting isn't because the artist has made new accounts.  The link was posted on ONTD (oh no they didn't on live journal) and a lot of people thought the shirt was cool.  It's a huge community and a bunch of people voted.  It's not nearly as sinister as you make it out to be.

People are just looking for cool and subtle MJ shirts.  I know personally none of the other shirts I've seen on the site interest me.  I don't know why I should vote for them when I'd never buy them.

Huh that makes sense, I was wondering why the votes for this skyrocketed all of a sudden.  I figured it was an MJ fan club or something...

jmclive, thanks for the support. Wow some folks (i.e. Mixer23) seriously believe that I've been going around 'creating' false profiles in order to boost my vote count? Sorry to disappoint, but no that is not it. Just like any politician running for office, to get votes you gotta get people to do so. That is precisely what I've been busy doing. Ask anyone who knows me. I've pestered friends, co-workers and my FACEBOOK contacts.

this needs to win.  smooth criminal was the sickest video...besides thriller...

though, i think michael on the guy's shirt should be smaller...like the lady's shirt.  big isnt always better.

Thanks for the votes people! How many do I need in order to get this printed here?

Yeah, lots of new accounts can make sense sometime, especially for a newer website such as teextile. But, as I stated, tons of the accounts had only one vote... And lost of the names were very similar, four or five had the word "oat" in them, and were back-to-back. I'm willing to bet at least half of the accounts are fake. At the time I made my accusations, I also checked all of your supports. At the time, 47 out of 72 votes were "new" accounts, and only had one vote to their name... Yours. It's way too suspicious.

@ Mixer23, First off sorry to burst your 'conspiracy theory' bubble, but again no I do not waste my time creating fake profiles to garner votes. As I stated earlier my votes have been gathered via word of mouth and Facebook contacts. Being 'older' also comes with the advantage of having established many friendships through the course of one's life. Got it?

Secondly, are you a moderator for Teextile or the site owner? If so then disregard the rest of my post, but if not then why do YOU invest so much TIME shooting down my vote count? Do you live someplace where the weather is crap? Go outside and make friends, then you too can actually get them to vote for your next design. Wow what a novel concept! If only we had access to administrative stats for Facebook then we could draw a direct correlation to the spike in votes to coincide with each of my link postings and status updates regarding my design. So though you may want to cry 'foul' it really isn't.

Third, Is it so difficult to fathom that MANY people would appreciate an MJ-inspired t-shirt design? I mean call me crazy, but he was/is a GLOBAL ICON with BILLIONS of fans so why get all worked up over a t-shirt vote count?? Wait. Maybe you're a Jonas Brothers fan and had I designed a tee for them this wouldn't even be an issue?

Finally, doesn't it really just boil down to the strength of the design itself? Vote counts are one thing, but good design should always trump any other aspect no? Don't get so upset up over this and instead provide a more meaningful dialogue in the form of constructive criticism to those of us artists trying to get our work printed.

Belgianbeer FTW.

Ok, look... I'm not trying to get into any internet argument. As that in itself is pretty lame and pathetic. You trying to insult me and making false assumptions about me, my life, and my likes/dislikes also seems to be pretty low and pitiful. Is that the way you address controversy in your everyday life? Anyone who has ever seen my name before would know that I've never thrown any kind of accusation around, ever, on any site. And I wouldn't do so unless I were certain. I was only drawn to "investigate" yours b/c I noticed all the new accounts. It only takes 10 minutes buddy, to insinuate that I have no life because a spent a few minutes making an accusation(of which I still stand by). Since when does facebook correlate with (real)social life and whether or not you have friends? Strength of design? This is one of the simplest designs I have ever seen subbed here, and in my mind, is extremely insulting to the great designs that are in the top. Besides, cashing in on someone else's death is a whole different story, even worse than making fake accounts. I don't care what you say, that's exactly what you're doing here. I will defend myself no further, as my comments were merely to strike some interest in the mods to maybe research some of the top vote getting desigs, and to look into implementing a better system in the future.

Print this tshirt :)

I admit some of my earlier comments may have been snarky, but even you must admit ‘buddy’ that you put yourself in that position. Why else are YOU still here visiting my design page? Hmm, interesting that you say you’re ‘not trying to get into any internet argument’ considering that you seem to come back time after time leaving negative comments.

I never said having a lot of contacts through Facebook necessarily equates to the number of actual friends. Go back and reread my earlier comment. Reading comprehension 101. My reference to Facebook is in regards to the ‘spike’ in new users voting for my design. I merely stated that among other tools I use Facebook to spread the word about my designs, so it is conceivable that with each status update (or link posting) there would be a surge of new users voting for me. Get it? If you do not use Facebook or any other social networking site then I apologize for having to explain this in such great detail.

Interesting that on your very first comment about my design (dated: July 24th) it was in regards to the vote count, but since my recent comment you’ve decided to comment (more like trash talk) on my design itself. Hmmm, so which is it? All of a sudden NOW you feel compelled to say how the design itself offends you and its too simple. Hmm. Sounds like you gave up on arguing vote counts and decided to pick at me in another direction?

All art is subjective. What you may find as a ‘simple’ design I prefer to view as a clean, bold approach which does not require a bunch of flourishes or extraneous elements, but I guess you find my design insulting to the other submissions on here. Really?? I’m confident that Teextile would make the right judgement call whether or not to print a design based on artistic merit rather than who has the most votes? Relax and have some faith in Teextile.

Finally, to quote you: Anyone who has ever seen my name before would know that I've never thrown any kind of accusation around, ever, on any site.”

Congratulations you just did.

Belgianbeer FTW.

P.S. Funny that you’re so obsessed by this ‘fake profile’ idea when you don’t have anything on your profile. Perhaps it is a case of an internet troll calling ‘troll!’?

freakin awesome shirt man!!!! voted

can it be on another color? i have too many t's in navy.

NYgarlio, its not on a navy shirt its actually a black shirt. For some reason this example looks navy?

Internet argument on this page aside, I like the simplistic-rather-than-polished look of this design. MJ isn't the kind of person who should be viewed in hi-def if you catch my drift.

King of Pop style without reminding me of the circus show he became.
